Vintage!

Vintage labels

Vintage, retro, second-hand, design. All sorts of markets that sell the best vintage shoes, designer bags or second-hand garments pop up. If you have ever been to Camden market or Spittalfields in London, you know what I'm talking about and why you have to visit it! Because these markets represent stands of shops that have gathered all sorts of funky, loveable, hip and fashionable musthaves and exhibit it all for you to drool over and to make you want to buy stuff. And the good news is, these markets are organised more often these days too! Almost every weekend you can find a hotspot where they sell cool stuff. Rotterdam has some new markets for you to check out as well! We mention some of them for you.

Popped Up Plans for Pop-Up Stores in Rotterdam!

POP!

[For this article, ILB goes BLACK!]

ILB comes places. Although it might seem that we only hang out in Rotterdam. (Okay, that is often the case, so we rely on you guys all around the world for input from there. Always open for your input. Just a little intermezzo.) Sometimes ILB goes together to events as a team, sometime they split up. And so while Robin and Sanne were chilling in Marrakech, bird Leanne attended the second Young Professionals Rotterdam Event.

Say where? ROTTERDAM!

ILB presents to you: a review of the second Young Professionals Rotterdam Event hosted by Rotterdam Central District on 13 February 2012 @ De Dépendance Schieblock – Rotterdam.

Let the battle begin!?

[For this article, ILB goes BLACK!]

In every major city, a network opportunity for critical yet creative young professionals to connect, is a every's young pro's right. And there we have it: YOUNG PROFESSIONALS ROTTERDAM. Since I work in Rotterdam, this is a YPR highlight concerning Rotterdam. What network are you in where we can learn from?

Now, a review of the first Young Professionals Rotterdam Event hosted by Rotterdam Central District on November 21, 2011. By Leanne.

How to start your modeling career for free?

You want to rule the fashion world as a model. To do so, you need professional experience and magnificent pictures. You just won't get in with shots in your garden next to the trash can, shot by your dad (unless your garden looks like Adam and Eve's paradise and your father is America's Next Topmodel member of the jury slash "noted fashion photographer" mister Nigel Barker).

So: you need professional stuff ....

But ... you don't have any budget.

A cold day for warm music: Adam Cohen

Adam Cohen. A singer-songwriter I never heard of. That's okay, I hadn't heard of Jimmy Hendricks [o, I just heard it is with an -x] before 2 years ago either. I am just not the biggest music expert. I listen to Clouseau, Gavin Degraw, and still listen to the BSB (thing with my sister). I love Jean-Paul to shake some ass. Just to give you an idea.

And now, one of the ILB flock members told us to love the music of: Adam Cohen. No, I ain't gonna tell you anything about him. I don't know anything about him. And I cannot tell you what listed songs here are covered either (be warned at least, it seems to be a Leonard Cohen admirer [O, I just heard it is his father, that explains something]). But I know I love his music. Check it out:

Share the love. Share the love for coffee.

I am having a wonderful morning. It's cold outside. Cold, cold, COLD! Winter has come late to Holland. But now, it's finally here. And it's cold. So I make sure to step on my bike earlier than usual. It is icy on the roads, and I just don't want to hurt my ... break my legs.

My ride was chilly but fast (maybe that has got something to do with eachother ;) ) and I arrived at Dordrecht Central Station earlier than expected. Plus my train was delayed. I know, I can hear you think: What in the world is this story about? Well, let me tell you. It's about some peacefulness. About turning bad things into someting beautiful. Let me continue.
