On june 18, 2011 with the release of the last four of the five birds on Schiphol airport, the Carrier robin project was officialy launched. In the months to follow photo's from Pink, Yellow, Green, Black and Blue were send to the ILB team. The birds have seen beaches all over the world and seen some of world's best highlights. All continents have been covered by at least one of the birds! Now, almost a year later, the birds definitely have all crashed... For a couple of weeks there has been no sign of life from all of them. Lets watch a summary of the birds adventures...

Carrier robin: travels so far, pt. 2
Next week it has been 150 days ago since the ILikeBirds team released five birds into the world. June 18 the Carrier robin project was officially launched! Earlier we updated you on the travels of the birds so far. Now, two months later, we can say that most birds have travelled a lot further. Unfortunately we still haven't had a sign of life from Carrier robin Green. The other four birds are spread around the world. With Black in Africa, Pink in Asia, Yellow in South America and Blue in Europe!

Carrier robin: travels so far
Yesterday exactly two months ago the ILikeBirds team released five birds into the world. The Carrier robin project was officially launched! Now, two months, later it's time to sum up the results so far. From the five robins, we received a sign of life from four. Carrier robin Green is still lost... From two of the birds the last photo we received was somewhere in Europe. And at least two aren't in Europe anymore. From Blue we allready recieved pictures three times! Black is the furthest from home: last sign of life was from Sydney, Australia.

Fly away robins!
Today the 4 remaining robins have been sent out into the world! The ILikeBirds team have traveled to Schiphol International Airport and asked travelers if they wanted to take a robin with them. It definately was a memorable start of the first ILikeBirds.org art project!
After Blue traveled to the Dutch island Vlieland earlier, now his four brothers and sisters were released into the world. Yellow was the second bird to found his first traveler. A couple on their way from Amsterdam to Sao Paulo adopted her. Pink found a warm welcome with a girl on her way to Berlin! Black his first stop will be in Asia: Singapore it is! The final robin to find a backpack to travel in, was Green. We hope to see a picture from him soon taken in Rome.
Curious to see who the first travelers are that the robins are accompanying? Check out the pics of Yellow, Green, Black and Pink at Schiphol International Airport! We hope to receive Blues photo from Vlieland soon!
Don't forget to check the website every now and then to see where the robins are!
Welcome to the world robins!
All five robins have been born! On May 15 Pink was the first one to be born, wich makes it the oldest of the five. A week later a triplets was born: on May 22 Yellow, Blue and Green saw daylight for the first time. Today, May 29, Black is the last robin to be born. Nothing is stopping the robins now to explore the world! Check out their birth cards and the first pic's of Green, Blue, Yellow, Pink and Black by clicking on their name.
With Black being born the birds are now waiting to be set free into the world. That will be on the 18th of June. Four of the robins will be carefully handed over to four world travelors at Schiphol international airport in Amsterdam. One of them will be handed over to a traveler on the launch party on June 4. Check the website regularly from that day on to follow the robins and see wich one travels the furthest.
