The weekend is at your doorstep. And though Summer is not in sight yet, ILB likes to orientate on what to do next Summer. To get you in the party ánd the Summer mood already, the ILB team visited hot spot Level to check out what you really cannot miss out on in 2012. We present to you: the cocktail trends of 2012!

While the brand new cocktail menu is still in the making, bartender Jamil is shaking some of the newest tastes of the moment for us to try out. So what are the cocktails you have to taste this season? Jamil explains us that their menu has two new main streams this season: the Tiki cocktails and the Wall of Fame. We tasted them for you and can tell: you have to have those!

Happy Hammock
Tiki is back! Normally shaken with rum, we get a cocktail ('mostly favorite with the ladies' Jamil explains) with Gin. And we like! Happy Hammock is the name and it is dressed in Gin, coconut sirop, lime juice, cointreau and Marasquin liquor. This cocktail comes with a genuine Tiki mug that you can buy with your cocktail for €12,50. The Happy Hammock is a fresh and summery cocktail especially for those hot and sticky Summer days!

Ginny Hendricks
Feel like sipping a celebrity? Then try Ginny Hendricks. Level's second cocktail trend for 2012 is the Wall of Fame: cocktails named after celebrities. The Ginny Hendricks is madewith Hendricks Gin (get the pun?), lime juice, cucumber (yes it is) and rose petals. Subtle to the core, this cocktail's a keeper! Not as heavy as the Happy Hammock and ifyou like a bit of bitterness, this is one to remember. We liked it even better than the Hammock and bombed this one as our favorite for 2012!

What not to get?
Move over Pornstar Martini and make way for the real stars. Leading the list of favorite cocktails for over 4 years now, it is over with the cheap entertainment. Get ready for luxurious subtlety or summery happiness in 2012!
