I am having a wonderful morning. It's cold outside. Cold, cold, COLD! Winter has come late to Holland. But now, it's finally here. And it's cold. So I make sure to step on my bike earlier than usual. It is icy on the roads, and I just don't want to hurt my ... break my legs.

My ride was chilly but fast (maybe that has got something to do with eachother ;) ) and I arrived at Dordrecht Central Station earlier than expected. Plus my train was delayed. I know, I can hear you think: What in the world is this story about? Well, let me tell you. It's about some peacefulness. About turning bad things into someting beautiful. Let me continue.

So my train was delayed and I was cold. And there it was: the AH. The to go supermarket located basically on every central station in the Netherlands. And there HE was: a guy getting coffee from the AH coffee machine. And there I was: cold and hot for, uhm, coffee. And there WE were, chatting. No bitchy faces, no "get out of my way, I have to get through otherwise I'll miss my train and be very pissed", no, just a moment of peacefulness.

Getting early and talking to total strangers: do we really need winter weather and delayed trains for that?
