Were you surprised to learn what you all can do with your arms? How they can help you look your best? Have you checked your own collection of add's and checked where those models have their arms? Even as tricky, or maybe even trickier, are your hands. Seriously, just take a look at some of your gathered pictures. What do you think of the way these models are holding their hands? (I'll get back to you on this one ... )
For now, let's just start with some basic rules of how to hold your hands.
There are 4 ways you can hold your hands (best is I, last-resort is IV):
I. You can show the side of your pinky
II. You can show the side of your thumb
III. You can show the palm of your hand
IV. You can show the back of your hand
while always sticking your fingers to eachother! No flying pinkies or thumbs please!
All the movements you make with your hand, are coming from your wrist. You wrist shouldn't be too close to your arm, not more than 30 degrees, or it will look really awkard.
To hold your vest for instance, show the top of your fingers. Like this:

Yes, you can catch me here on a peep-pinky. Look at the hand that is holding the bag. I didn't close my fingers.
BASICALLY, always keep in mind: show your whole hand, or it will look like it is cut off. This is what I mean with thinking 2-dimensional.
Sooooo
Take a look at some of your gathered pictures AGAIN! What do you think of the way they are holding their hands now ... ?
Okay, okay, I'm being a little bit silly, but I can't resist to post this video about the 'hands'. (Might me a little suggestive btw.)
This Sesame Street's Figure's left hand is not okay. You know why?
