Graffic poemBy Miguel Gonzalez Perret-Gentil, guest writer for ILikeBirds.org. Miguel is a Venezuelan native who grew up on the small island of Curacao and found a passion for writing at a young age. His goal is simple; he hopes that every reader finds him or herself in a verse, a word, a phrase perhaps of any of his poems.

Standing still, time does, making sense? Never does.

Density approaches like blinding lights, broken obstacles challenge the desire to stand and rise.

We flinch , we dodge the bullets we daily feel, grazing by , seeking for a soul to call one of their own.

We nourish the thoughts of salvation within the soil of our brain, we establish premonitions we will never be encountered with.

Are we sane? Are we reasonably able to break down the daily fears every single human feels?

I feel we do, atleast I think we do, the texture of reality sinks in every minute more and more, the thick air collapses our lungs and pushes the primal fear of survival into full gear.

We laugh a natural reaction so few of us cherish at the beginning of every dawn,

We dream, oh we do , we live in a stellar hell we learn to call home.
